Women from around the country gathered in Worthington, Minnesota, July 15-16, for week-end retreat hear the witness of Rwandan genocide survivor, Immaculee Illibagiza. We prayed and heard testimonies from several priests and were led in dance to beautiful Rwandan music. I was blessed to participate in the retreat by sharing “Song for Immaculee” which was released on my CD, “Refuge.”
Immaculee’s book, “Left to Tell”, which recount her experience during the atrocities in Rwanda in 1993, was on the New York Times bestseller list for many months. It was after reading this book, that I was inspired to write “Song for Immaculee” in her honor and all Rwandan genocide victims.

May God grant peace to all victims of war and genocide.
