Nine Million pagan Aztec Indians converted to Christianity after the astounding apparitions of Our Lady of Guadalupe to St. Juan Diego. Her image was found on Juan’s tilma, a cloak made of cactus fibers, which usually disintegrates after 30 years, but still remains intact today, centuries later. Scientists all over the world from different faiths have studied the tilma and no explanation is possible, except the conclusion that the image was not painted by human hands. Millions of visitors visit this beautiful image every year in Mexico City. Our Lady asked Juan to tell the Bishop She wanted a church built there in honor of Her Son. Mary is always pointing to Jesus.
