Always aware of the dignity of each human life, they fought to educate, giving voice to the truth that each person has a right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
What is happening to our country? Why are some of us standing by idly, while our first amendment rights are being threatened? Do we really care about the welfare of our brothers and sisters? Isaiah 1:17 urges us to learn to do right, seek justice, encourage the oppressed, defend the cause of the fatherless, plead the case of the widow. What about the defenseless cry of the unborn? Many have answered the call. We need more voices. More action. More calls to our representatives.
As a Catholic singer/songwriter, I was inspired to write a song, “Let Freedom Sing.” This song is a proclamation, a cry for religious liberty for all people. Our freedom is a God given right, and continues to be made possible through the sacrifice of brave men and women around the world. Let us “raise our voice” and “make the choice” to defend our liberty.
